Soma Training Diploma Program
Considered by Dr. Voyer to be one of the most important components of his paradigm, the SomaTraining program is a three-year course of study offered to those who are interested in working with athletes at all levels, and those who are interested in using exercise and wellness techniques to improve the general health and function of their clients. This includes but is not limited to: sports trainers, fitness consultants and physical therapists. The SomaTraining curriculum integrates very precise and specific exercise techniques, ranging from analytical and segmental training to proprioception and myofascial stretching. The exercises learned are an integral and supportive part of Voyer’s therapeutic treatment paradigm, helping clients reach optimum health, and athletes reach maximum levels of performance.
Soma Therapy Diploma Program
The SomaTherapy program is a four-year course of study presented to those who are already involved in a manual medicine specialty including, but not limited to: osteopaths, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, physiotherapists, and athletic trainers. The SomaTherapy program aspires to develop the most skilled practitioners through the process of treatment of the joints, soft tissues, visceral and neurovascular systems with manual neuromuscular facilitation to enhance optimum motor control and human function. This program begins with the fundamentals of Osteo-Articular Pumping in the first year, continuing on to Fascial Normalization in the second year, Transversal Tendinous and Ligamentous Stretching in the third year, with the study of the Four Diaphragms to complete the program in the fourth year.
